      Before PageGroup, where were you and what were your specialisations?

      I was in the media industry handling business development functions for the digital side of the business – I was required to perform market research, conduct feasibility studies and financial evaluations to identify the prospects of new ventures and evaluate existing partner relationships.


      Why did you join PageGroup and what does your role consist of?

      I enjoy the fast-paced environment and strong learning culture here at Page. As many would know, Page has one of the most robust training programs at every level of career with strong mentorship guidance by experienced leaders in the business.

      Contrary to many players within the industry, Page adopts a team-based model that places great emphasis on information and knowledge sharing. This was a strong pull to why I took the plunge into a recruitment role as opposed to my previous role which was more research and analytics.

      I am presently a Senior Consultant focusing on Finance and Accounting recruitment at the mid-to-senior levels. Finance being an extremely competitive discipline, I get to partner with a wide range of companies across different industries: that includes startup companies, Fortune 500 multinationals and local-listed companies. It is incredibly interesting as I’m involved in the entire spectrum, from companies that start up their business from scratch and recruit their first finance headcount, thereafter helping them to expand their teams as the business grows, to recruiting for extremely mature businesses where the talent needs and gaps are different.


      How have your past experiences helped you in your current role?

      My prior business development experience has enabled me to identify market opportunities and understand the technicalities of the function that I am recruiting for more swiftly. Honestly, it was a very steep learning curve at the beginning as I started my career in a non-sales function and it was challenging for me to understand the dynamics of candidate and client management in a 360 sales role. But it definitely helps to have a supportive and experienced team to see through the tough times (and share the good times)!


      What have been your greatest accomplishments during your time at PageGroup?

      Page has provided a good platform in shaping my confidence and commercial knowledge. I have also been given good opportunities to engage with senior leaders and inspiring individuals through sharing of their life experiences.

      Page also has a meritocratic culture where individuals can achieve fast-track career based on performance and results are often recognised and rewarded through engaging activities.

      One of the most gratifying aspects of my role is the ability to see candidates achieving not just their career goals but also find a role that balances with their personal aspirations. It has also been a fruitful experience as it has allowed me to discover my personal strengths and weaknesses, developing me not just on the professional but also the personal level.

      Before PageGroup, where were you and what were your specialisations?

      I was studying at Singapore Management University (SMU) and majored in Finance and Operations Management.


      Why did you join PageGroup and what does your role consist of?

      I wanted a client-facing role and was considering a few choices in terms of industry and recruitment agencies. I interviewed with Page and was impressed with the strong training and development as well as career progression that I could achieve in this organisation.

      I am currently a Senior Consultant in Page Personnel Finance and Accounting. I am involved with working with clients to get the top talent for their junior to mid-level hires.


      How have your past experiences helped you in your current role?

      SMU has a strong teaching pedagogy and the education that I was receiving has definitely helped me to hone strong business acumen as well as develop stellar communication and presentation skills.

      My past internships have helped me to develop key skill sets that make my journey at Page easier. Such skill sets include working with other colleagues as a team, always supporting my team in terms of delivering high quality work and to have fun while working.


      What have been your greatest accomplishments during your time at PageGroup?

      Managers in PageGroup are always very supportive of new ideas or events. I organised a campus recruitment event which helped us to increase our talent pipeline and resulted in new hires being added to the team.

      Lim Ming Hui

      Before PageGroup, where were you and what were your specialisations?

      Before joining PageGroup, I was working in financial institutions in back-office operations. I had to process instructions from clients accurately and in a timely fashion so as to avoid financial losses. Things were moving fast and I was processing transactions worth millions on a daily basis.  


      Why did you join PageGroup and what does your role consist of?

      I joined PageGroup in April 2015 and I am currently a Senior Consultant in the Secretarial, Office Support and Customer Service team.


      How have your past experiences helped you in your current role?

      Coming from a fast paced environment, I had to work with short turnaround times which has trained me to be very efficient at work, especially when it comes to providing quality shortlists for clients. I have good time management skills and know how to multi-task and prioritise my work which is another skillset that is crucial to my current role.


      What have been your greatest accomplishments during your time at Page Group?

      I was the third highest biller for Page Personnel Singapore in 2016 and that was my first full year within the business. I also managed to build up strong relationships with notable clients such as Wellington and Commerzbank.

      Why did you join PageGroup?

      How you have grown with PageGroup?
      I started in 2011 as a consultant within Page Personnel Secretarial and Office Support, specialising in the financial services and legal space. I was soon promoted to Senior Consultant, moving into the commerce market as well. Today I manage the entire Secretarial and Office Support team, with two Senior Consultants and two Consultants.  

      What is the most rewarding part of your job?
      The fact that no day is the same. I am extremely thankful that I am in a job that teaches me something new everyday.

      What is the usual day-to-day schedule for you at PageGroup?
      My usual day entails conversations with people internally, meeting clients, thinking of new campaigns and events our team can do. A bit of everything!

      Why did you join PageGroup?

      I’m proud and happy to have developed really quickly in my career with PageGroup, taking on new assignments and more responsibilities periodically.       What is the most rewarding part of your job?
      The most rewarding part of my job is people development. Being able to see new consultants develop into experienced recruiters and managers is the highlight of this job for me.

      My usual day-to-day schedule can be classified into three parts: Management, Business and Recruitment.

      Management – one-on-one reviews with my key people on their businesses and processes.

      What attracted you to a career in recruitment?

The children that Scantuary Care Centre helps are without parent or next - of kin to care for them and includes those who are abused, abandoned, neglected by parent due to alcohol issues, drugs or illness.

I joined Michael Page Sales in 2006 as a consultant. Interestingly I didn't join (as many do) with the intentions of working internationally... it's funny how things pan out when the right opportunity presents itself.

Last year I had an internal discussion about the growth potential and the obstacles to overcome in our Canadian business. I'm now director of Michael Page Sales, Marketing and Technology in Toronto. It's still early days with plenty to accomplish but I already feel that I've learned so much. I'm excited about what lies ahead and it's clear that it was the 'right time', despite me not knowing it only a few months ago! 

Alena Salakhova Russia - USA

One of the reasons I joined PageGroup in 2009 was the opportunity to gain international experience. After five years I knew I could stay or challenge myself somewhere new.

I am still a very young director and people in Russia consider my relocation to San Francisco Bay Area (the most developed area for new business development and start ups and an incredible place to live) as amazing.

Denis Daniliuc France - Mexico

I joined in France as a consultant and progressed to manager level before applying for an international move and I was given the opportunity to move to New York. Heading back to Europe, I joined our office in Brussels to take over various disciplines in Belgium. After a few years, good results and a baby, I moved to Mexico City to grow our operations in this dynamic country.

Aaron Bambrick Australia - Canada

I started at PageGroup on the graduate programme in 2008 and before transferring to Houston I recruited in the mining, oil and gas sectors in Brisbane. Transferring internationally can do a lot for your career but it’s also a big challenge. 

Having worked in both the Australian and US oil and gas markets I have now transferred to Calgary to help open the office here and establish a local presence for Michael Page in Western Canada. Calgary is a beautiful city only an hour from the Rocky Mountains and the market is similar to that of Australia in a lot of aspects. Calgary presents a significant opportunity for Michael Page and gives us an integrated North American oil and gas team. 

Jamie Hart UK - Sweden

I joined Michael Page in 2000 in London and in 2014 it felt the right time to explore international opportunities.

Learning something new about yourself and other people, learning new ways of recruiting in different markets has always been the main driver behind my attachment to PageGroup. Moving to Sweden has taken this to a whole new level. 

The trust placed in you when you move abroad is inspiring, realising how much there is to learn gives you extra energy and living in a different environment positively challenges you professionally and personally. Now I won’t look back when I am old and wonder ‘if only’...

Marco Cremonese Italy - Germany

I started in Page Personnel Milan in 2009 as a trainee and became a senior consultant in the Retail division in 2010. In 2012 I took over the Digital & New Media specialisation and in October 2013 I became a manager.

I was happy in Milan but I wanted to experience meeting new people and working in a new division. I also wanted to develop personally.

I now work for Michael Page Finance & Accounting in Munich – of course it is a hard challenge and a new start, but it is a wonderful experience. I´m happy about the opportunity that PageGroup gave me.


Giovanni Presti Italy - Turkey

I was one of the top performers in Europe and won a trip to Istanbul. I didn’t know then but a year later the company, in response to my desire for international experience, was going to propose Turkey as my next chance to develop.

I am growing a new team in Istanbul, a wonderful city in a country where the culture is different from Italy but where there is a lot of energy in people and life. With PageGroup there are opportunities to learn about new cultures and live the experience.

South Africa is very different from the UK, there are certain aspects of employment policy I had to overcome, but I find this makes it more exciting and it gave me a challenge. Johannesburg is known as the 'City of Gold' – as the gateway to Africa it provides you with further exposure to an emerging market. It really is an exciting place to recruit.

I was interested in the idea of international opportunities within the Group so started applying for a transfer. News came that the business was being launched in Jakarta, so I applied, got the job and moved here in January.

The best bit about moving is that it has taken me completely out of my comfort zone. I’m learning about a new culture and how to adapt in all sorts of situations – personally and professionally. Moving is definitely worthwhile. It has opened my mind and my eyes and given me space to explore and develop.

China is very different to Europe and the initial impact can be strong. It is important to have an open mind and see things with interest, curiosity and a sense of humour. Everyday can be a surprise, from the food to a new word that helps you in daily life to a new place to visit or a new person to meet.

As well as attending your regional consultant development programme, you will also receive one-to-one support from your manager, including on desk coaching and shadowing and localised workshop sessions for key recruitment skills.

Successful applicants will be required to attend either an interview or assessment centre, along with the opportunity to spend some time with the team you will potentially join on the operating floor and a meeting with the relevant business MD.

We will contact you either way to confirm whether or not you have been successful and provide you with relevant feedback on your performance.
